Maureen Porter joined Third Rail Repertory Theatre as a Core Company Member after performing in Ebbe Roe Smith’s NUMBER THREE in 2007 at the IFCC. Having lived in New York she returned to Portland (yes, she is the real deal – a native Oregonian) with the desire to find an artistic home that would challenge her and in that first TR production found what she was looking for: a collective of theatre professionals telling provocative stories with precision, excellence, consistency, and rigor. Since then she has been seen with Third Rail as Belinda Blair in Noises Off, Barbara in A Noble Failure, Marian in Sweet & Sad and That Hopey Changey Thing, Lisa in The Wonderful World of Dissocia, Pam in The Gray Sisters, Eleanor in Dead Funny, and Judith in Nobody Here but Us Chickens.
Other credits include Kate in The Taming of the Shrew at Portland Shakespeare Project, Elise in Crooked at CoHo Productions, Estelle in No Exit and Emma in Betrayal at Imago, Trish in House and Garden and Barb Wiggin in Owen Meany at ART, Mae in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and Marya in Anna Karenina at Portland Center Stage. In New York with The Queen’s Company credits include Cleopatra in Antony and Cleopatra, Laura Lucretia in The Feigned Courtesans, and Angelica in The Rover.
