internships

The Third Rail Repertory Theatre Internship Program offers the opportunity for interns to become familiar with the administrative and creative processes of TRRT. Given the small size of the company, interns are able to contribute greatly. The minimum commitment is one day per week, but some interns volunteer more time. Paid Technical and Administrative Interns have a different responsibility, as they serve practically and creatively during the actual running of our season.

Third Rail Repertory Theatre accepts volunteer interns on an ongoing basis throughout the year. The work consists of administrative support including filing, typing, helping with promotional mailings, etc. Additional work varies depending on the needs of TRRT and the talents/skills of each intern.

It is important to everyone that the internship be a mutually rewarding experience. Paid and volunteer interns have the chance to observe Third Rail Repertory Theatre's rehearsals, productions and special events (when appropriate). The relationships that are formed during the internship program have the potential to continue for years and evolve into lasting friendships and professional relationships with company members and staff.
