Third Rail Presents a Free Staged Reading of Craig Wright's "Lady"
A three-play season just isn't enough! We at Third Rail have been hankering after more opportunities to "play" for our friends and supporters. So we're excited and happy to announce that we're adding a series of free staged readings to our season calendar. The first of these will be this Sunday, October 21 at 7pm at the IFCC, and will feature a new work by our hero, Craig Wright.

In "Lady," three high school buddies reunite to grab their rifles and head for the Illinois woods to hunt woodcock. Tensions are high after a night of sparring over the war in Iraq and the revelation that these men suddenly have blood in the fight. History, friendship, politics, and betrayal turn this morning of camaraderie into a test of will, conviction, and restraint.

The reading will be directed by Slayden Scott Yarbrough and will feature Third Rail company members Tim True and Michael O'Connell, as well as Leif Norby, who is currently thrilling us with his work in "Grace."

This will be the first of four staged readings to be held during the 2007-2008 season. Besides being a great way to see some of your favorite performers free of charge, this is also an opportunity to get a glimpse of Third Rail's play selection process for future seasons.

Again, this event is free. Reservations are not being taken -- the 99 available seats will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. We recommend arriving early!

By the way, there are only seven performances left for Third Rail's current production, Craig Wright's "Grace." The show has been our most popular to date, and tickets are going fast!

On Stage: Grace "Grace" runs through October 27 at the Interstate Firehouse Cultural Center, 5340 N. Interstate. Call 503-235-1101 for reservations, or purchase tickets at www.thirdrailrep.org.
