Getting to the Show

Third Rail produces at two venues: CoHo Theatre (2257 NW Raleigh St) for Main Stage Productions and the World Trade Center (25 SW Salmon St) for National Theatre Live. Click on the links below for detailed directions to each venue. Please note that our NT Live Screenings take place in the Auditorium of the World Trade Center, located on the Bridge Level in Building 2.

Our venues are located in vibrant, bustling neighborhoods, so street parking is somewhat limited. We recommend that patrons arrive early to ensure time to park prior to the show. The World Trade Center (where NT Live Performances are held), also has a parking structure (entrance located on SW Taylor St) with elevator access to the theatre, where patrons may park for a small daily fee.

CoHo Theatre and the World Trade Center Auditorium are wheelchair accessible.  Please contact the Box Office at 503-235-1101 with questions.

Copies of the script may be checked out in advance of the performance for hearing-impaired patrons who would like to read along or read the play in advance.

Please call 503-235-1101, or email for arrangements.

Box Office

Box Office hours are Monday through Friday from Noon to 4:00 pm, and for one hour before every performance. On-site Box Office is also available one hour before performances.

If you need to contact the Third Rail Box Office, please call 503-235-1101, or email

Third Rail seeks out compelling, challenging stories. Many of our plays, as a result, are not suitable for young children.

If you have a question about the content or language of any of our productions, please call the Box Office at 503-235-1101 and we’ll be happy to discuss this.

Snacks, beer, wine, coffee and water are available in the lobby before each show and during intermissions.

Electronic Devices

Please turn off all electronic devices, including phones, cameras and watch alarms, prior to entering the theatre.

Photographing or recording during the performance is strictly prohibited.

Doctors and parents expecting calls during the show should leave their name and seat location with the House Manager.

Late Seating

Late seating policies are decided on a show-to-show basis. Patrons arriving late to the show will be seated at the discretion of the House Manager.

There will be a brief talkback after every Third Rail performance, except when we have another event immediately following (such as our opening night and closing night receptions, readings, or panel discussions).

These 15-minute talkbacks give the audience time to explore the play further through discussions with the director, designers or cast.

Content Warnings

We don’t want to spoil anyone’s experience of a new play at Third Rail and so we avoid giving too much away when promoting our shows. It’s often the unexpected shared moments and plot twists that capture the audience and create the debate and conversation beyond the performance.

However, we also realize that these moments can be particularly distressing for some individuals. If there are certain themes that you know would cause you extreme distress or discomfort and you’d like to speak to someone at Third Rail to find out more about a show before you book, you can call the Box Office at 503-235-1101 or email us at
