Don’t Miss The NT Live Encore Festival This Weekend!

Binge watching. It’s how we consume our media these days. It’s the most common method to watch television shows after they have gone off the air, or catch up on a film series before the next one hits the theatres. Well, we’re getting in on the action. Third Rail is now offering you the opportunity to binge watch your favorite 2014-15 shows from National Theater Live in London. You can purchase individual tickets; a punch card for six discounted tickets; or as a Member, you would have unlimited access to every NT Live showing all season (and yes, unlimited means you can come more than once). Man and Superman
– Friday (8/28) at 7:00 pm – Academy Award nominee Ralph Fiennes stars in this exhilarating reinvention of Shaw’s witty, provocative classic.

Treasure Island
 – Saturday (8/29) at 11:00 am – Robert Louis Stevenson’s story of murder, money and mutiny is brought to life in a thrilling new stage adaptation. Suitable for 10years +

Of Mice and Men
 – Saturday (8/29) at 3:00 pm – James Franco and Chris O’Dowd star in this landmark Broadway revival of Nobel Prize winner John Steinbeck’s powerful portrait of the American spirit.

 – Saturday (8/29) at 7:00 pm – Bill Nighy and Carey Mulligan star in David Hare’s riveting play about former lovers locked in a dangerous battle of opposing ideologies and mutual desires.

A View From the Bridge
 – Sunday (8/30) at 2:00 pm – A stellar cast, led by Mark Strong, brings to life this ‘magnetic, electrifying, astonishingly bold’ production of Arthur Miller’s tragic masterpiece.

 – Sunday (8/30) at 7:00 pm – Internationally renowned DV8 Physical Theatre creates an intense, moving theatrical experience about a man’s extraordinary and touching journey. Suitable for 18yrs+.

Streetcar and Skylight Double Header

This Sunday, Third Rail is bringing you a roller coaster of romance and world class performances with a double header of A Streetcar Named Desire and Skylight. If you’ve never experienced a National Theater Live screening before, come find out what you’ve been missing!

A Streetcar Named Desire by Tennessee Williams (FINAL PERFORMANCE) at 2 o’clock

First, our final showing of the Young Vic’s record-setting production of A Streetcar Named Desire. Gillian Anderson takes the lead in a performance that has been described as “otherworldly”. Think you can tell the difference between her role as Blanche and her acclaimed turn on X-Files?

Skylight by David Hare (SNEAK PREVIEW) at 7 o’clock

In the evening, we are presenting a special preview showing of Skylight, starring Bill Nighy and Carey Mulligan. David Hare speaks about the challenges and joys of bringing back a production 18 years after it’s original run. Be the first to see this production before its run on Broadway in the spring!
