Development & Communications Coordinator
Classification: Paid $18-$20 per hour DOE; 30 hours per week.

Position Summary: The Development & Communications Manager reports to the Managing Artistic Director and works closely with all other staff to ensure the highest quality of customer service aligned with the organizational values of impact, inclusion, and rigor. This position involves detail-oriented communication with various departments inside and outside the organization, strong writing skills, project management, and juggling multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Manage grant writing calendar, closely tracking deadlines of LOIs, applications, and reports
- Research potential foundation and government funders to find good matches for general operating support, capacity initiatives, and project-specific funding
- Write and submit clear, compelling grant narratives to potential funders
- Work with Fiscal Manager and Bookkeeper to provide detailed budgets with application materials
- Write and submit final grant reports with all required information at end of funding period
- Oversee, write, and proofread external company communications in partnership with the Managing Artistic Director and Marketing Assistant, including press releases, postcards, MailChimp newsletters, and social media posts
- Support Managing Artistic Director with annual year-end fundraising campaign, including drafting appeal letter and running detailed reports of potential donors at different giving levels
- Process individual donations, including entering into PatronManager database, writing and sending acknowledgement letters, and running donor reports
- Support Managing Artistic Director in tracking and drafting outreach to individual donors
- Support Marketing Assistant’s coordination of marketing collateral such as postcards, mailers, posters, and programs
- Support outreach to community partners for collaborations including lobby displays, talkback speakers, and discount/group rate opportunities
- Support and assist with special evening and weekend events throughout the TRRT season
- Support day-to-day office procedures and running additional errands as needed
- Maintain data hygiene and organization in company Google Drive and shared calendars
- Engage in company commitment to anti-racism through company-wide and individual measurable goals
