We are excited to announce a brand new event, taking place on Sunday, March 8th and open to all. Join us for Third Rail’s inaugural Power to the Artist, an evening that explores how art can be used as powerful resistance—especially during times when it’s easy to feel powerless. Hosted by Third Rail Repertory Theatre and joined by community partners, we welcome you to learn about and participate in the art of protest, revolutionary creativity, and how to instigate positive change.
This event is interactive, free, and open to all. Feel free to show up to the open house at any time from 5 – 8 pm. To register for the free workshop The Art of Protest: Propaganda, Performance, and Revolutionary Art-Making, taking place from 6:30 – 8 pm, please RSVP using the link below.

More on The Art of Protest workshop:
What makes art genuinely revolutionary? What makes propaganda so effective, and how can artists produce work that makes the revolution irresistible?
In this workshop, we will study our local political situation, the teachings of the revolutionary movement in the Philippines, and the emergent strategies of adrienne maree brown.
Utilizing the discipline and strategy of revolutionary movements like those in the Philippines alchemized with the emergent strategies of adrienne maree brown, together we will not only see but begin to practice propaganda both as a tool of revolution and as a way to imagine beautiful futures. In our time together, we will create short skits, make visual art, and practice assessing the effectiveness of our propaganda as a group through discussion and embodied practice. By agitating, organizing, and mobilizing the masses through cultural work (art), we can inspire more people toward collective action!
