When Death comes, who will stand by your side?
BAFTA winner and Academy Award nominee Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave) stars as the title role in this dynamic new production of Everyman, one of English drama’s oldest plays. Everyman is successful, popular and riding high when Death comes calling. He is forced to abandon the life he has built and embark on a last, frantic search to recruit a friend, anyone, to speak in his defense. But Death is close behind, and time is running out.

Everyman has been a cornerstone of English drama since the 15th century. Originally written in Middle English by an unknown author, the show has been newly adapted by British Poet Laureate, Carol Ann Duffy, and incorporates tremendous, startling visual effects. Ejiofor has said that this production “should have an event quality. The audience should have an experience that is quite visceral and engaging… I think they also will come away with thoughts and questions about life and about death and the thoughts that we have about those things.” There is nothing about this that you are not going to want to see.
